Title- Senior Project Manager (Fixed Income)

Job Description:
- Client Fixed Income team needs a Technical Project Manager (TPM) to help support and maintain the Charles River Investment Management System (CRIMS) platform and Fixed Income and Investment Compliance projects.
- Major responsibilities of the TPM include planning and management of release of software enhancements, production patches and fixes, and planning for other SaaS trading products as needed by the business, ensuring that releases are delivered on time and meet quality standards, working closely with other clients enterprise technical groups to identify release dependencies for data and other related functionality.
- The TPM will also provide daily support as needed to open Service Now, CRD and internal Jira tickets for any issues that occurs during the business day or after hours. This may include planning for weekend patches, supporting SaaS failover testing and other enterprise applications interfaced to the CRIMS platform.
- This is a hands-on role contributing to all aspects of Fixed Income technology in a fast-paced environment with flexible (Monday and Friday remote) work schedule and favorable work/life balance.
- The successful candidate must have the following skills and expertise:
- Planning: Create release plans and project plans as needed that include tasks, timelines, and resource requirements, consider third-party applications dependencies and interfaces, infrastructure updates, enhancement, and defect backlogs, be able to forecast dates for production releases, often weekly.
- Communication: The TPM must have effective communication skills and attention to detail. They create project plans as needed to deliver release schedules that integrate with other enterprise release schedules, capture requirements and test tasks, and lead change management meetings for weekly changes deployed to production. This role collaborates with other IT departments release managers and Fixed Income Trading stakeholders.
- Coordination: They will coordinate with stakeholders for testing, requirements, and release calendars, schedule weekly change management meetings to discuss changes to deploy to production along with change management tickets ready for approval with assigned resources to complete planned work.
- Continuous process improvement: Continuously improve the release process, participate in daily internal development scrum meetings to understand what features are in development and planned to deploy to production for the in-house Bond Dashboard application. Participate in development release planning meetings.
- Deployment: Schedule and participate in SaaS production deployments as needed and ensure production validation tests complete successfully.
- Documentation: Maintain documents related to release and build procedures. This includes storing in SharePoint Online vendor release notes, weekly status reports and other applicable documentation for the Fixed Income Trading team.
- Risk management: Identify and manage risks that could delay the release. Communicate potential risks and roadblocks to mitigate operational risks from becoming issues.
- Monitoring: Lead twice weekly Jira scrum meetings to monitor the progress of release items, summarize each week’s progress and provide a weekly status report to key stakeholders, collect feedback from teams and customers.
- Quality assurance: Work with the testing team to ensure that releases meet quality benchmarks with completed test cases and thorough test execution.
Must Have:
- Effective communication acumen, Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Seven years of project management experience, extensive vendor management experience
- Prior SaaS production support experience with Proven history of defining a SaaS release plan and related project plans for heavily interfaced environments
- Product Owner, or Technical Project Management experience
- Strong understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies and knowledge when to pivot from one to the other
- Three years of using Jira issue tracking tool
- Leadership capabilities to influence and support team members with production support issues, weekly scrum calls and vendor meetings
- Possess ability to translate complex technical issues to simple business language
Preferred Experience:
- Five years as a Developer or Scrum Master that supported a SaaS platform
- Understanding of capital markets and some experience with Fixed Income asset management
- Technical vendor management expertise
- Strong understanding of complex interfaces, trading applications, formats and products required to support a SaaS environment
- Capable of identifying product, interface and feature gaps and interpreting technical errors
